How to keep your numbers on a two-week work trip

Travel doesn't have to cost you progress. With a two-week trip and a barbell — or even without one — you can hold your main lifts and walk back into your home gym exactly where you left off.
The rule: train the pattern, not the PR
You're not setting records on the road. You're keeping the groove. Hit each pattern — squat, hinge, push, pull — twice a week at a hard but submaximal effort.
- Squat pattern — goblet or front squat, 4×6 at RPE 7.
- Hinge — RDL or single-leg RDL, 3×8.
- Push — bench or dumbbell press, 4×6.
- Pull — row or pull-up, 4× as many as feel clean.
Find a real room
A proper day pass beats a hotel corner. Scan in at a local gym, use the iron that's actually there, and leave. No contract, no front-desk pitch.
